The Archbishop of Cape Town writes:
It gives me great pleasure to commend Season of Creation to you. It provides valuable resources to help us grow in appreciation of the wonders of the world which we inhabit, and the mysteries of abundant life we share with all God’s creations.
This resource has been developed by an inter-diocesan task team, and approved by the Provincial Liturgical Committee.
My prayer is that resource may enhance our worship of God, deepen our comprehension of God as Creator, and broaden our understanding of our calling to be faithful stewards of creation.
In this way, I hope that we will be encouraged to work to overcome the threats to our planet that come through human selfishness, and be strengthened in our commitment to care for the whole intricate web of life of which we are a part, for as the Psalmist says, ‘The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it.’ [Psalm 24:1]

A resource book entitled "Season of Creation" provides useful liturgical material and background information on biodiversity, land and water, climate change, need not greed and stewardship. There are also fact sheets, hymns and choruses and small group study material.
Copies are available from rmash@mweb.co.za or secretary@safcei.org.za at R20 a copy.
